How to convert the MTS file extensions for Macintosh?

I have just brought camera of canon Vixia which use the MTS format to record the video. I use the Mac operating system and have the trouble to see the video on the computer. I downloaded the converter software but when I try to view it in full screen it is not clear and slightly blurry. I prefer using the Macintosh, are there any suggestion which will help me to view the video on Mac.

How do I remove my data completely off my laptop?

This weekend I have got a new laptop by replacing my old HP G6000. This week it’s my brother’s birthday and he is looking to buy a laptop, but as my HP is such a good and reliable to me, I wish to give him that as a present. But there are still some data’s in it which are quite personal to me that I want to delete. Firstly I thought to reset the factory settings but I don’t have the CD to do that but for personal information’s resetting the values is not enough. So, I want to wipe the entire data of my HP so that I can clean each corner of the hard drive for my brother. Is there any way of doing that? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have heard about the Mac hdd recovery that it can recover the lost or deleted data from the hard drive of the Macintosh but I lost my files by the accidentally deletion. So, I am very confused that will this software help me in recoveration of my file which I have lost accidentally. Can you help me to solve my confusion?

How to fix error message ‘video audio codecHelper has stopped working’ while converting MKV videos?

I was trying to convert a MKV file to other format using ‘4U Video Converter’ software and when I clicked the ‘Convert’ button to initiate the conversion windows says ‘video audio codecHelper has stopped working’ and display a button saying close the programme. I don’t know what this error is all about and how to fix it. I am using Mac OS X Leopard OS with Core 2 Duo processor. Any suggestion or help will be appreciated Thank you.

iPhoto Library says corrupted and not recognizable format with most of the photos. What to do and how to recover the photos stored in it?

I am using iPhoto 5.0.4 and it is working fine. Two weeks ago I have added some of mine vacation pics and among them I have deleted some of the pics that I don’t like. A week later when I tried to watch them again I found the gray boxes instead of pics. iPhoto also freezes every time I try to open them and when I tried to open the pics it says corrupted and not recognizable format also in description its shows 0kb but when I open iPhoto and manage to click on the pic/grey box and it shows the regular file size. Can anybody please help me to retrieve those photos stored in it? Any help will be appreciated thank you.

Few valuable and important files have been accidentally deleted from the MacBook’s trash. How do I recover them?

I was working with my MacBook to complete an important project. I have temporary deleted some of the files from a folder because I need to use then at the end of my project. The files are thrown to the trash by the operating system. But yesterday all the activities that I did a day before had simply slipped from my mind and I accidentally emptied the trash. After performing the task I suddenly realized that those files are really very important for me. I am in deep trouble as project submission date is very near. Can anyone of you please help me to get those files back, I will be very grateful to you. Thank you in advance.

There is an Error Log while doing Backup from Mac. ?

I have a MacBook Pro which is backing up to a Time capsule and every time this backs up my Mac slow down. This slows down it to such an extent that everything get freeze 1-3 seconds roughly even 20-30 seconds. This is just making very hard at all to do anything within my MacBook. This is the error log that I see from most hourly backups. Getting error message while backing up Mac system files on external HD?

When I try to back up my Mac system files on external HD I am getting errors which stop the procedure completely. I have also tried using just the finder option to drag and drop all the files from one HD to another, some files are copying but others are giving “Error Code 0." What to do now?

Getting Error 36 in my Mac book. How can I solve it?

When I was connecting my windows server with Mac OS X 10.4 installed system, I got the Error 36 on my system. Before connecting to the Windows server I have upgraded my mac that is from MAC OS X 10.3.x to Mac OS X 10.4. When I was unable to make a connection with the windows server the following error message was displayed “The Finder cannot complete the operation because some of the data in smb://…….. Could not be read or written. (Error code -36).” Can any one help me?
