What kind of virus attacks does Photo Recovery software’s for Windows and Mac can handle effectively?

I have some virus infected file systems in which some of my favorite photos are stored, since it is virus infected so I am not able to access it as other files might also get infected. So I want to use any Photo Recovery software but before that I want to know something about the viruses that attack images and photos so that I can handle them effectively. If you know some of them then please let me know. Any suggestion or ideas will be appreciated.

larasen 		The Worm Explore Zip virus destroys the entire directory information, file information, extension and file size data of the FAT or NTFS. Only the powerful photo recovery software will able to retrieve the data and only from raw file categories. So, if you are using Mac system then only Photo Recovery for Mac type of software’s whose algorithms to search and find the photos and images is strong and powerful will able to retrieve the data from the file system. If the content carrying area gets corrupted or infected then even strong software’s will fail to recover the photos from it.

johnsharp 		There are many Digital Photo Recovery software’s those are effective in viruses such as CIH, which initialize the file system information’s including MBR and FAT. Recovery software’s can also recover data attacked by viruses that alter the directory entry information’s such as Worm Explore Zip. The software’s are able to eliminated these viruses and able to retrieve the data because the data area remains unaffected. So, if you are lucky enough then only your data will get retrieved otherwise if the data area gets infected then no photo recovery software will be able to retrieve the data from it.
