Your Sony HDR-SR1 supports mts file which your computer can not directly access. To play mts file on the computer you have to convert the mts file into system compatible file like mpeg. You can convert your mts file into mpeg file with Emicsfot mts converter. You can also try some other converter as many online sites are providing them in cheap rate.

Emicsfot mts converter also supports avi, wmv, m2ts, 3gp, etc popular file formats. You can play your file on iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, mobile phone, Zune, etc. With it you can crop the size of the video, trim the videos into clip, and can set the video effects which include contrast, brightness and saturation. You can see the added videos with the preview screen on interface. You can adjust the video effect with the original and the output preview screen. You can merge many files into one file.
