Is it possible to utilize the Time Shifting utility, while working with streaming MPEG-2 video?

I am watching the Live Cricket match between India vs. New Zealand on my Tata Sky, at the same time my friends knock the door and insisted me to play cricket. I don’t want to miss the Sachin’s batting but they forcefully taken me. When I returned India has finished their innings and now I really want to watch Sachin’s batting. Does Time Shifting utility will work here?

jerryshephard 		It is true that Time Shifting utility will work for you and you will able to watch the match again but at the same time due to packet jitters you might get some interrupted results and you will not get the smooth and proper video of the match. So first rewind your set top box and then convert that video to any MPEG-2 compatible format using converts like VOB Converter for Mac etc. and then when you watch that video then there will be no jitters and you will get the proper audio and video quality as you are watch the live match.

mariaroggers 		Hello friend, it seems that you are big fan of Sachin! I am too. Well, yes you can watch that match again using Time Shifting utility of your set top box, because MPEG-2 supports the time shifting utility by rewinding, pausing & fast-forwarding the live TV. Just rewind that video and your job is done. And if you want to watch that match further just use any MPEG-2 compatible format converter like TRP Converter to convert that video to your desired format and enjoy Sachin’s batting again and again. Easy isn’t it.
