ITunes is not responding, after using antivirus on iphone?

My iphone 3G got infected with virus, so I ran AVG to detect and thus clear virus from it, but after doing so iTunes is not working for me iphone and says required software is not installed?

jennifer 		AVG although proficient is not specifically meant for iphone antivirus its updation is necessary for to work efficiently with iphone otherwise similar destruction will keep taking place. However your problem is not acute, you will just have to install iTunes once again and this will solve your problem.
