How to resolve ‘maximum open cursors’ error while repairing Oracle 10g?

I am using SunOS 10, Sugar ENT 5.2.0a, Apache 2.0.53, PHP 5.2, Oracle 10g and while repairing task such as ‘Repair Workflow’ or ‘Repair Database’ I get following errors continuously –
“exec] Warning: oci_execute(): ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
[exec] ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
[exec] ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
[exec] ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded …”

Also the task is taking very long time what should I suppose to do please help.

Look, if you have more than 100 workflows defined then plenty of customization in vardefs file need to be sync with the database and after looking into your error code it seems that release of resources is required except the connection established. By default the Oracle’s max open cursor is set to 1000 and in order to resolve the issue you need to set it around 3000 and then see if it works. The best option is to check the timing while it repair the Oracle database, if it takes more then 15 minutes then your problem still persists .

As a last option you need to take the help of any third party software and in my view Oracle Repair software is perfect for the repairing process that you need.
