How do I remove my data completely off my laptop?

This weekend I have got a new laptop by replacing my old HP G6000. This week it’s my brother’s birthday and he is looking to buy a laptop, but as my HP is such a good and reliable to me, I wish to give him that as a present. But there are still some data’s in it which are quite personal to me that I want to delete. Firstly I thought to reset the factory settings but I don’t have the CD to do that but for personal information’s resetting the values is not enough. So, I want to wipe the entire data of my HP so that I can clean each corner of the hard drive for my brother. Is there any way of doing that? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I guess you have backed up all the data’s before wiping the entire hard drive of HP. For your data’s like pictures, audios and videos you can log in to the administrator account and delete your account from it. After that delete the folder associated to your account. Doing this will remove the folder contain like personalizing settings, documents and so on. To clean the registry, temporary folders including junk files and other you can run the some of the disk cleanup utilities. And if some of the data’s still remains then you can clear them all by using Wipe Mac software. This will delete every information from the hard drive and assign it to its native states. I hope this will help you out.

All the best!
