Getting Error 36 in my Mac book. How can I solve it?

When I was connecting my windows server with Mac OS X 10.4 installed system, I got the Error 36 on my system. Before connecting to the Windows server I have upgraded my mac that is from MAC OS X 10.3.x to Mac OS X 10.4. When I was unable to make a connection with the windows server the following error message was displayed
“The Finder cannot complete the operation because some of the data in smb://…….. Could not be read or written. (Error code -36).”
Can any one help me?

The error message you are receiving is due to upgrading from the MAC OS X 10.3.x. It shows that the problem is only with the client computer. You can get the same problem when the system file damage or the incomplete up gradation or un-mountable hard drive.

All these situations are attached to operating system. So, to solve this problem you can reinstall the operating system and format the hard drive. Reinstalling the operating system means this problem will never come again. It will make a new copy of every file of the systems. But formatting of hard drive can delete all the data present in your hard drive and at that time you require a data recovery mac. Data recovery can easily be done by Mac recovery software. You can make use of the Mac recovery software for every file versions of the Mac OS X which include Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.3.
