Faced unexpected error 768 while upgrading to windows XP?

While upgrading to Windows XP professional edition, unexpected 768 error was displayed, and I was asked to correct it by pressing any key, but that added to my troubles as I couldn’t accomplish this task instead ‘process initialization failed’ and STOP messages with different error codes like 0x0000006B, 0x000000, 0x000002 were being displayed, how to resolve this problem.

jennifer 		Such problem arises due to incompatibility between operating system and software installed either upgrade it or uninstall it by starting system in safe mode. However following the below described steps, this problem can be solved-
Step1-by selecting ‘Cancel windows XP setup’ option stop installation
Step2-restart the system
Step3-uninstall go back in previous windows installation
Step4-reinstall windows XP and the data can now be restored from backup, besides you can use XP data recovery if you don’t have backup or if you want to retrieve entire data.
