Desktop DF file corruption in Mac caused data loss, how to recover lost data?

Hello everyone, I am using Macintosh system for quite some time and I am very much happy working with it. But last night I have got an error message which states –

“1305 desktopDamagedErr the desktop database has become corrupted - the Finder will fix this, but if your application is not running with the Finder, use DTReset or DTDelete”

After this error message I am not able to access any data of my desktop and don’t know what to do? I am totally blank, so please help me to resolve this error message and also suggest something on how to recover the lost data. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank in advance.

The error message that you have got is related to the Mac system’s desktop. Actually Desktop Manager of Mac system creates a DF file that maintains the information of the desktop along with Finder’s desktop file at a particular time. This Finder desktop file contains the information of everything in the Mac system virtually that includes applications, hard drives files and folders etc. This pattern gives the high performance database support for the faster access of the information from the desktop of Mac. But when this desktop database gets corrupt it throws error message which is very much similar to the one that you have got. The corruption can occur due to several reasons like virus infections, improper system shutdown etc.

But there is nothing to panic about because this recovering the lost Mac data is very simple and that can be done by restoring the backup of the Mac data. In case the backup of the lost data’s are not available then simply use Data Recovery Mac software to recover all your valuable files. This will surely help you out.

All the best!
