“Out of memory” error message in MS Outlook 2007. What should I do?

It has been almost two and a half years, I am using MS Outlook 2007 to organize my professional work, but never got any issue related to it. But for few days the performance of my Outlook is degraded considerably. While opening or accessing the mails it stuck a bit and then responds to the request. The worst thing happened last night while I was working on it. I got an error message which says –

“Task ‘task_name’- Sending and Receiving’ reported error (0×8007000E): ‘Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.”

Soon after the error flashed Outlook has stopped responding. I am totally blank and don’t know what to do, please help me to resolve this, any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Two and a half year is a long time and you must have a great experience while working with Outlook 2007. But after a period of time everything’s gets affected a bit as in your case it is MS Outlook 2007 whose performance has degraded. Actually Outlook uses PST file to store the data’s of its component and when its size becomes larger its performance gets affected. About the error message, this type of errors generally occurs when the computer is short of resource either the required memory is less or there is some motherboard issue. Large PST file can also be the cause of this error message. In order to resolve the issue try to reduce the size of the PST file which can be done by deleting the unwanted materials from the PST file or by compacting it. If the problem resolves then its ok, and if it is not then split PST file to reduce its size instantly. I am sure it will help you out.
