‘Error: SQL2062N an error occurred while accessing media’ error message flashed while backing up DB2 database. What to do?

DP6.1 is being installed on a win2003 server with SAP DB2 installed on HP-UX 11.31 server and I want to backup the DB2’s data. I can use the DP to backup HP-UX file system successfully but can not backup the DB2due to the error message which says - ‘Error: SQL2062N an error occurred while accessing media’. I know nothing about this error message and I really have to perform many important tasks. So, please help me out. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Few weeks ago I have faced the same problem while backing up the DB2 database as well. To resolve the issue I have added the DB2 database user as Dataprotector Admin user. After that look into the hosts <omniback>\log\db2.log file, which will give you the detailed information. If you see the ibmslapd.log file which is accessed through the Web Administration Tool and DB2 errors, logged in the db2cli.log file as both are located in the VAR subdirectory of the IBM then you need to repair your DB2 database as it is corrupted due to which it is causing problem while backing up. So, to resolve this just use any DB2 Database Repair software and your work is done. Now, you can effectively perform the backup operation.
